Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a fast and detail-oriented Video Editor who thrives in creating high-quality short-form content for social media and digital advertising platforms. This role requires the ability to work efficiently with minimal guidance, repurposing larger pieces of content into snappy, engaging video ads. The ideal candidate is well-versed in platform-specific ad formats and ratios, capable of balancing speed with exceptional quality, and eager to bring creative suggestions to the table to enhance campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly edit and transform raw content into polished, short-form videos optimised for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, etc.).
- Ensure all videos meet platform-specific guidelines for aspect ratios, formats, and audience engagement strategies.
- Deliver high-quality edits under tight deadlines without compromising attention to detail.
- Use Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve to edit videos with professional colour grading, seamless transitions, and clean audio.
- Work independently on assignments with minimal guidance, consistently producing content that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Collaborate with the team to refine and enhance creative concepts, suggesting improvements to make ads more impactful.
- Maintain organised workflows and file management to maximise efficiency across projects.
- Stay ahead of social media trends and best practices, adapting strategies to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
- Proven track record of creating short-form social media ad content with speed and precision, backed by a portfolio.
- Deep understanding of social media ad formats, aspect ratios, and platform-specific requirements.
- Ability to balance speed with maintaining a high standard of quality in all outputs.
- Creativity to identify and suggest content optimisations based on campaign objectives.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with storytelling and engagement techniques for digital-first audiences.
- Experience working in fast-paced industries such as e-commerce, performance marketing, or DTC brands.
- Knowledge of motion graphics or animation tools for light enhancements (e.g., After Effects, Canva).
- Familiarity with analytics and insights to refine content for better performance.
- Strong sense of initiative, constantly seeking ways to improve the quality and impact of video content.
- Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills
- Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
- Good at absorbing large amounts of information, with a general hunger for learning
